THE INVISIBLE HEADSET-INVISIO M3

•November 6, 2009 • Leave a Comment

First time I saw this headset was back 2007 when the photos of those hero we lost during operation Redwing, I could not reconize what headset they were using and used the most famous tool or what people said ” GOOGLE IT” yet I got nothing but the onions…ask around few retired operators…they also could not guess what is it…but they said they will love to have that during their time of operation. And it took me a long way for me to get to know more info about this headset and to get hands it.

Photo of Marcus Luttrell in A-Stan with the Invisio

I receive this headset back at early 2009.. my apology for only upload this now cause it took me a while to dig the photos out, anyway when I first receive 2 sets of the ear piece I was not really satisfied by the look at it…cause it looks so simple and just like an iphone headphone….other thing in my mind…it is strong enough? looks weak..that time I have no idea that this ear piece is a SILENT PROFESSIONAL with killer clear sound both sending and receiving radio communications.

Now lets take a look of the case of this headset.

mmmmm…. really lookd  like a cell phone headphone case…

From the name of the ear piece “Invisio ” you can relate to the word “Invisible” which is true cause when you put it in your ear and the color is actually just similar to the tone of the human skin, another reason this is called invisio is that it does not need a boom mic to receive the sound/words you are sending out from your radio, you can hardly spot this ear piece with a distance and also when the enemy is sportting by their  scopes or binocs it is hard to tell  if  he is  a  operator or not, and it is also absutely comfortable under the heat in the desert and any hot weather, this ear piece is specially good on covert missions / VIP protection missions.

The principle of this ear piece to send out the sound is from the vibration sensing bone conduction mic for clear speeacj and total elimination of noise, the sound quality is really amazing that once you have this headset you wont want to take it off from you and used other headsets. And also one more thing is that this skinny looking kind of headset compare to the other military headset…the wire has kevlar reinforced and can handle “20KG PULL STRENGTH”..the reason why I said this headset is a silentpro is that…it looks simple and make you think this is just a simple and underestimate the features of the headset but this headset is actually the most Top in SOF community around the WORLD.

This headset comes with many configurations and many other models such as fireproof and waterproof, The first set of the invisio I got is just the M3 model and it comes with the U94 jack.

I will be sharing more about different versions of Invisio headsets soon.

LBT-1961A 2008-2009

•November 3, 2009 • Leave a Comment

Many gear mania has been debating about what version of the LBT-1961A the SEALs are currently using. And people are going for those crazy high price for the previous version of the chest rig, simply because the old version of the vest was more expose on the photos..but many people dont know that photos always delay for few years or month it can never be real time with the operators during their operations, it is for security purpose.

As LBT dealer when I first received the vest was back in the end of 2008, I have notice the difference between the 2007 version is that the bidding nylong tape was removed on the pouches of the chest rig, I was cusrious and just asked my questions and I got the feeback answer was that sometimes the bidding tape reflects under the sun and cost of exposed the operators position in the hot desert, and also the material they are using became more firm then before.

Many collectors ask me ” Is it possible to order the previous version of 1961A” and my answer is always the same as LBT USA..” NO” the new version was re design after the operators really tested on the filed and I also tell them that if the operators are not using this vest, LBT wont have it for sale in their company, the products are using by the real operators in real time..but at that time…no body would listen and believed.

Recently the photos of SEALs and DEA agent was out on the net and there it was the new version of the 1961A…maybe some people will debate as it is the Eagle Industries muti purpose chest rig, but pay attention to detail to the shoulder strap..only the LBT-1961A has the folding stich line in the middle which E.I tried to change the design little bit for not violating copy right for the patten from LBT.

will have more comparison on the LBT vs Ealge 1961A chest rig soon!

Got this set from a close friend of mine..He is the real tough silentpro…although it may seems just a BDU for every other guys who joined the military service in Taiwan.

But

What layes beyond this simple BDU is the training, the crazy PT with Gas Mask and 30-40Kg pack, the beach clearing, underwater demolition..all the stuff the SEALs do and also as an Instructor for the Taiwanese UDT/SEAL unit but yet he is humble and silent warrior.

Thank you for the support always. It has been 1 year since my first O.T.B

On September 6th, 2009, Dan returned to Kandahar, Afghanistan.  With less than 36 hours on the ground, his team received their first mission task targeting Taliban operatives.  During the mission, Dan activated a land mine and lost both legs, and sustained traumatic internal injuries.  Currently he is at the National Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland where he is fighting a new battle.  Like any other challenge in his life, Dan will face this one with courage and dedication.  Already, friends and family have witnessed Dan’s unbelievable strength as he begins what will surely be a long and difficult recovery.  Despite the challenges ahead, Dan remains positive and exudes his kindness and true appreciation for friends and family, and for life.

Although known to some as Danny boy or Danger Dan, to others as Cnoss, C-Nasty, Disco Dan, or Batta Bing, and to some just plain Dan, we all know and love Dan Cnossen as a courageous and determined leader, a strong and selfless man, and a dedicated and unconditional friend.   Though he can be described as introverted and a bit stoic, Dan’s friends prefer to use the words soft spoken and humble instead.  A truly genuine and loyal person, Dan is also known to have a way with words, creating laughter in the wake of his humor, and amazement from his friends and family with his curiosity and zest for life.

His life’s motto, “Life is all about extremes” plays out everyday in both his professional and personal life, and he is excited by and drawn to activities that challenge him both physically and mentally.  From the moment he learned about the US Navy SEAL program, he was hooked by the pure challenge, and immediately dedicated himself to preparing for it.   In his free time Dan took on many adrenaline-filled adventures: climbing Mount Machu Picchu, Peru; hiking Patagonia’s Torres del Paine, Chile; mountaineering through Samaria Gorge, Crete; free-climbing Mount Whitney, CA; skiing the back country of Mount Baker, WA; and swimming the Mediterranean and Dead Seas.   Dan’s sense of adventure has also taken him to Argentina, Uruguay, Columbia, Egypt, Jordan, Guatemala, Turkey, Mexico, and Spain.

Among his local adventures, Dan loves to rock climb and run.  Those who know him from the Naval Academy share memories of sneaking off the Navy yard to join Dan on these (and other) extreme excursions.  Dan amazed friends when he would sign up for a 50-mile race or ultra-marathon just weeks before a race.  Taking on these unbelievably difficult tasks only further exemplifies Dan’s immense mental and physical strength, and true passion for challenge, adventure, and reaching life’s absolute limits.  Some people train their entire lives to accomplish what Dan would decide to do on a whim.

Dan was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas on a small farm owned by his grandfather, and spent his childhood working on the farm, reading, running, boxing and playing soccer.  Upon arriving at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland in 1998, Dan had never seen the ocean, had never learned how to swim, and could barely make it across the pool.  Dan only saw this as yet another challenge, and because he was fully dedicated to succeeding, he sought out friends to help him learn how to swim.  Dan would often skip lunch and head to the pool, and immediately joined the Navy Triathlon Team to further strengthen his swimming abilities.  But being a member of the team wasn’t enough.  By his senior year, Dan was elected a captain, and lead the team to a national championship.  Friends watched as Dan woke up at 5am every morning to run, and then return to the gym or pool for a second and even third workout everyday.  Each day Dan focused tenaciously on his ultimate goal of becoming a US Navy SEAL.

Upon graduating from the US Naval Academy in 2002, Dan headed to San Diego, CA with several classmates, and immediately began fulfilling his orders to Basic Underwater Demolition and SEAL school (BUDs Class 242).  He successfully completed some of the most mentally and physically rigorous training in the United States military, and succeeded in fulfilling his life-long goal.  Dan was pinned as a US Navy SEAL, and reported to his SEAL Team, stationed in Coronado, CA.

As a junior officer, he served two deployments in Iraq, one to the Philippines, and supported JSOC with a deployment to Afghanistan.

NSW PATCHES IN IRAQ AND ASTAN

•October 6, 2009 • Leave a Comment

Just got the 2 patches set below, it is very simple but yet meaning full patch for the NSW operators in Iraq.

The patch on top was the remembrance of the ST10/SDV SEALS that was lost on that day, ” NEVER FORGET”

The 2nd patch below is quite unique, I did not know what the logo means, but when I first saw it I thought it was a magnetic logo but yet cant relate it to NSW operators in Iraq, then I search the logo more and I found out that it was a hurricane logo, it presents that the NSW power just like the hurricane, they are the massive destroyer (destroy the terrorist) also they are one of the most powerful special operations unit around the world. They move fast the hurricane and destroy what ever needs to be done.

Thank you for reading and feel free if ever I made a mistake describe the patches set.

NSW Tri-Fold Handcuff

•September 26, 2009 • 8 Comments

The First time I receive the handcuff I was amazed that the design was changed and became smaller and easy to carry around compare to the plastic handcuff before, I was just thinking this could be a great choice for the operators and the law enforcers around the world. Maybe I was not attention to detail enough one of my college told me that ” HEY SEALs has been using that for long time!!!” Then I realize that it was true and the SEALs made some simple and very usefull modification on those handcuffs.

This is the original shape of the tri-fold handcuff  but I notice that there is a small problem that if the user of the handcuff needs to tight up the suspect or terrorist quick it might not be that smooth unless you were able to pull the 2 plastic part higer then the original position.

Actual photo of a SEAL operator with the modification on the tri fold

The MODs that the operator did was drill 2 wholes on the tip of the handcuffs and tight up with the  military cord so that once you secure the suspect you just have to put his hands inside the handcuff and pull the cord tight it will instanly tighten the handcuff to secure the suspects hands.

This is how the handcuff look like after the operator modification.

Please contact me if there is anyting I can help. Thank you
